A Message from Pastor Tanyss Winston…..

Two months before my husband, the late Pastor Dennis Winston passed, God gave me a dream. In the dream we were having church in the main sanctuary that we have not been able to use because someone stole the air conditioning and all of the copper from the building. In the dream the sanctuary was full of people. Little did I know that God would call me to continue the work that my husband and I started. Just three weeks after my late husband died, God called me. Since that time the building itself has fallen into disrepair. The building was built in the 1960’s and requires much work. The building is also affiliated with the funeral of Dallas Police Officer J. D. Tippet who was murdered by Lee Harvey Oswalt, was laid to rest on November 22, 1963, the same day as President John F. Kennedy. My family was also the first African American Family to join Beckley Hills Baptist Church in the 1970’s. In 2025 may husband and I changed the name to Beckley Community Church, and is now a non-denominational church. I never thought that I would be pastoring a church that I had been affiliated with during my childhood. God works in mysterious ways and he knows the plans he has for you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

We are currently in the process of restoring Gods house which has been dedicated and consecrated back to Him as a house of prayer and worship. We plan to have our first worship service on April 5, 2026 which is Resurrection Sunday. We are asking for donations to purchase air and heat for the building. If God places it on your heart to make a donation to help build His kingdom, you can use the QR code below to make a donation. Thank you for visiting our page. We would love for you to join us at our next worship service, Sundays at 11am. Thank you and may God bless you.
